Counting to 4800 on the regular

Not a sports person. Like I follow sports teams but I don't go to extent where I would purchase merchandise, memorise player names, player positions and game dates. To be completely honest, I can only put names to faces on the players that I find most attractive or the ones who have done something in the past that have me rooting for the death penalty on their heads (No I'm kidding but you know what I mean) Anyway, basically I'm down for the athletes not the actual game. That being said, can someone please provide me with scientific reasoning as to why I sit on my couch week after week, year after year, every possible Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night to watch Rugby League GAMES?! I count down the 80minutes in two halves, get excited for half time entertainment and then countdown to see who gets KFC man of the match. I wait out for the big hits and miraculous tries, then I just play games with the game like 'Who's the fastest out of X & Y? Ooh X won, Y you suck!" Loser? Yeah, I'll cop that on te chin but I still watch the actual game. Funny to find out however if other people just watch it simply cause they do - like me? & if anyone else counts to 4,800 on the regular too? Haha
